Thomas P. Bell

Bell, Thomas P. Ret. BFD, of Quincy, died on April 15, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family, he was 61. 

The beloved husband of Sheila (Mannix) Bell of Quincy.  Loving father of Philip Bell and his wife Lynne of Taunton, Ryan Bell and his wife Lindsey of Canton and T.J. Bell of Quincy. Brother of Arnold Bell of Wilmington and the late Janice Bell. Cherished Papa of Cullen, Brooke, Bridie and Ryan. Godfather of Neal Gavin and Eric Bell. 

Tom was a proud United States Marine Corp. veteran. He served on the Boston Fire Department for more than 33 years, the first 28 years he was assigned to ladder 17. Tom loved his job and thoroughly enjoyed and respected his brother firefighters.  He had a passion for golf and fishing and was well known for his great sense of humor. The foundation of his life was his family, they were the cornerstone of all that was truly important to him. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday from  4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 9:15 AM prior to the Funeral Mass on  Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy. Burial will be private.
