Alice G. “Dolly” O’Malley

Alice G “Dolly” (O’Shea) O’Malley, 85, of Quincy, passed away on September 18, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Dolly was born in Newfoundland, Canada, raised in South Boston and settled in Quincy to raise her family.  Beloved wife of the late Myles J. O’Malley, she was a devoted mother to Denise A. Connors and her husband, Larry, of Quincy, Janet M. O’Malley of Canton, Myles J. O’Malley, Jr. of Braintree, Barbara Jean O’Malley of Braintree, and Anne Marie Sullivan and her husband, Jeff, of Quincy; a loving grandmother to Jeffrey T. Sullivan, Jr and Jared J. Sullivan.  Dolly was the daughter of the late Ron and Anne O’Shea, and a dedicated sister to Elizabeth “Betty” Shanahan of Rockland, Patricia “Pat” O’Shea of Quincy, and Ronald “Ron” O’Shea and his wife, Annette, of Dedham.   She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, bowling, and reading.  She loved watching all the major golf tournaments and tennis matches.  She will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.  Her wit, strength and humor will never be forgotten. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.

In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Special Olympics.
