Barbara loved activities that engaged the mind, especially jigsaw and word puzzles, but her greatest love was reading. In her later years there was always a book by her side. She also enjoyed watching sporting events – the Red Sox, Patriots and, in particular, figure skating. She swam regularly for several decades and was proud to say that she will still swimming laps at 86 years of age.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband Ernie, and is survived by their three children; Bette Hanian of Weymouth, Susan Vincent of Rockland, and Ray Hanian of Newry, ME; her son-in-law Tom Vincent and daughter-in-law Debra Hanian. She also leaves two grandsons, Kevin Hanian, and Eric Hanian, wife Meaghan and their son, Tyler Hanian. Barbara was the sister of the late Paul Stonely, Virginia Thorburn, Eleanor Boodro, and Dorothea Cicchese. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
