Ostrom, Bart L. of Norwell, died August 30, 2014. 

Bart’s pride and joy was certainly his wife and two young sons.  They gave him immeasurable happiness.  Born and raised in Big Sandy, Montana, Bart grew up on a farm.  His appreciation for nature and beauty led him to his work as a ship’s captain, currently working with Boston Harbor Cruises as Operations Manager.  He was a gifted naturalist who loved boating, whales, the ocean and his natural surroundings.  Never without a book in his hand, Bart was a student of military history.  He also enjoyed his beloved New England Patriots.  He was jolly, sarcastic, had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed a good time, and was trusting and reliable.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

Beloved husband of Monique McClearn Ostrom of Norwell.  Cherished father of Cameron and Ryan Ostrom of Norwell.  Loving son of Frances Ostrom of MT and the late Willard Ostrom.  Loving brother of Doreen Stevens of Arlington, Mark Ostrom of MT, Chad Ostrom, and the late Eileen Ostrom.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial visiting hours on Wednesday from 3-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.
