Foster, Dorothy Marie (Whalen), 86 of Quincy, Mass, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 22, 2014 and was surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles E. Foster. Loving mother of  Ann Marie Schwabe and her husband Steven of Merrimack, New Hampshire and Patricia Foster of Quincy and her companion Gregory Toland of South Boston.  Cherished Nana to Kathleen Meyers and her husband Trevor of South Dakota, Amanda and Steven Schwabe both of Merrimack, New Hampshire.  She was the loving sister of Mary Parry of Arizona and the late Margaret Thivlerge, Daniel William Whalen, Jr., Ruth Gibbons and Paul Whalen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was originally from Dorchester and was a former member of the Squantum Yacht Club. She enjoyed traveling and loved to crochet. The foundation of her life was her family. They were the cornerstone of all that was truly important to her.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
