Edward “Jerry” Nocera

Nocera, Edward “Jerry”  lifelong resident of Weymouth, died November 25, 2014.

Beloved husband of 61 year to the late Agnes C. (Rinella) Nocera.  Dear brother of the late Leo Nocera,  Nicholas “Nicki” Nocera and Eleanor Quinlan.  Also survived by many loving neices, nephews and friends.

Jerry proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII.  He worked as a machinist for 38 years for the Armstrong Corporation and retired in 1981. He was a member of The Sons of Italy, Guiseppe Verdi Lodge #278 in Weymouth. 

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Wingate’s Inn at Silver Lake for their loving and compassionate care of Jerry for the past 3 years.  We would also like to acknowledge the outstanding Cranberry Hospice Team and Senior Helpers Staff that allowed Jerry to end his journey with dignity. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 11AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 12 PM. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jerry’s memory to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Plymouth, MA 02360.
