Kalil, Evelyn M. (Abate) of Weymouth, passed away October 21, 2014 peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Evelyn was born in Barrington, RI but was raised and educated in Hyde Park. Soon after she met her husband Frank they got married and started a family in Boston then moved to Weymouth to continue raising their family. She was a seamstress all her life and was very talented. Evelyn was a devout Catholic who was active at St. Albert the Great parish right here in Weymouth. She was a member of the Happy Hikers Walking Club and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, bingo, and most especially spending time with her family.

Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband Frank of Weymouth. Evelyn is survived by her devoted daughters Carol Ciarlone and her late husband Joseph of Weymouth, Jane Laubenstein and her husband James of Weymouth, and Cecelia “Sissy” Higgins and her husband Jim of Weymouth. Loving grandmother to Michelle, Jennifer, Michael, Tiffany and their spouses. Evelyn is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
