Georgia Bourikas

Bourikas, Georgia (Spyropoulos) of Quincy, died October 19, 2014. 

Beloved wife of Harry Bourikas of Quincy.  Loving mother of Peter Bourikas  and his wife Susan of Hull, George Bourikas and his wife Lauri of Braintree, William Bourikas of Canton and Michael Bourikas and his wife Colette of Bridgewater.  Sister of the late Eleni, Soteri, Michael and Achilles. Cherished “Yia”  “Yia” of Harrison, Christopher, Georgia, James, Victoria, Jack and Taylor.

Georgia was born in Athens Greece. She lived in Greece until coming to the United States in 1953.  Georgia was the owner of Athens Cleaners in Dorchester for 22 years before retiring in 2000. In her earlier years Georgia was a dress maker for the Queen of Greece.  She enjoyed extensive traveling with her husband Harry and was a founding member of the St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in Quincy. Most of all Georgia loves her family who were the cornerstone of her life.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 5-9 PM  in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Service in St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, Braintree at 11 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
