Gladys M. Picot

Gladys M (Mulligan)  Picot, 82, died peacefully in the loving arms of her family on July 16, 2014 at her home in Quincy.

Gladys leaves behind her daughters Deborah Picot of Quincy, Denise Picot of Weymouth and Donna Picot of Quincy. She was the devoted grandmother of Glenn Picot and Donna Concannon. She is also survived by her sister Pat Mulligan and her in-laws Mary Picot, Willard Picot and Margery Picot. She joins her recently deceased husband Jordan “Tinker” Picot.

Gladys worked for the Quincy Public Schools food services department for over 30 years where she was dedicated to feeding the children at Snug Harbor Elementary School. She assisted with teaching at Nathaniel S. Hunting Elementary School and Our Lady of Good Council CCD classes. Gladys enjoyed leading weekly Camp Fire Girl meetings in the Adam Shore Community. She was a hard worker and gave one hundred percent in everything she pursued. Though Gladys was soft-spoken, she knew exactly what to say when your spirits needed lifting.  She was a passionate homemaker and was devoted to caring for her family and making her house a welcoming home.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, beautiful smile, Catholic faith, and endless love and loyalty to her loved ones. 

A Funeral Mass will be held in Holy Trinity Parish at  Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy on Wednesday July 23 at 10am.
