Cavanaugh, Harriet Madeline “Babe” (Spencer) of Hull (formerly of Brighton and South Boston) passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the age of 90. 

She was born August 10, 1923 in South Boston the daughter of Alice (Cheyne) and Harry Spencer. Beloved wife of the late Bernard F. Cavanaugh, Sr. Loving and devoted mother of David S. Cavanaugh and his wife Patricia of Elizabethtown, PA, Bernard F. Cavanaugh, Jr. and his wife Ann of West Roxbury and daughter, Maryann Glennon and her husband Michael of Hull.  She was the loving sister of Doris Littler of Quincy and several nieces and nephews. Cherished grandmother of Daniel Cavanaugh, Sean Cavanaugh and his wife Lisa, Matthew Cavanaugh and hiswife Kelly, Brendan Cavanaugh, Courtney Cavanaugh, James Glennon and his wife Heather, Jennifer Pandey and her husband Prakash, Norah Fleming and her husband Jacob and Kerrin Silva and her husband Kevin. Adoring great-grandmother of Aaron, Dylan, Emily, Madeline, Jack, Abigail, Maya, Owen and Leo. She cherished her family and will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
