Keohane Funeral Home

Turynowicz, Leon F. of Quincy, died November 25, 2014. 

Leon was a WWII veteran of the United States Army where he flew in the Air Corpse and received the Distinguished Flying Cross Award.  After returning from the war, Leon took a job at the Air Mail Facilities where he became a Supervisor.  He later graduated from Massasoit Community College with his associates degree.  Leon enjoyed golfing, bowling and was an avid Red Sox fan.  His main passion was caring for his family.  He will be sadly missed.

Eldest son of the late Boleslaw and Ursula Turynowicz.  Loving brother of Frances Regan of Quincy, Thomas Turynowicz of Florida, Ann Tuminski of Medford and the late Helen Cuneo, Sophie Novicki, Mary Bublis and Jennie Balukevich. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 8:30-9:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
