Hernon, Margaret B. (Walsh) “Peggy” of Braintree, passed away suddenly on October 30, 2014 peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Peg was born, raised, and educated in South Boston. She later moved to Dorchester where she met her loving husband Peter who also lived in Dorchester. They soon got married, started a family and eventually moved to Braintree where they resided for 48 years. Peggy enjoyed knitting and was active at St. Clare’s church but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly for her inviting home and personality.

Peggy was predeceased by her devoted husband Peter E. Hernon. Loving Mother to John Hernon and his wife Kathleen of Rockland and Patricia Donahue and her husband Joseph of Braintree. Cherished grandmother to Michael, Breanne, Elizabeth Hernon and Kristen and Peter Donahue. Sister to Sally Hennessey and sister-in-law Kay Walsh. Also sister to the late Patrick, Martin, John, Joseph, and James Walsh and Mary Cate, Helen O’Donnell, and Nancy Vautour. Peg is also survived by two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 9:30 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Randolph.
