Keohane Funeral Home

Merrill, Marie A. (Hannon) of Franklin passed away on October 27, 2014 after a period of failing health. 

Born and raised in Quincy, Marie was a 1948 graduate of North Quincy High School.  She worked at Mass Electric prior to starting a family with her husband George.  Marie and George moved to Braintree to raise their family.  In retirement they resided in Weymouth and Largo, FL.  After George’s passing in 1991 Marie travelled with her family, spent time with friends, and eventually moved to Franklin to share her life with her grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her loving daughters Donna Merrill of Hingham and Linda Merrill-Rea and husband Timothy Rea of Franklin.  She was the cherished grandmother of Jillian and Brian Rea of Franklin.  She was the devoted sister of the late Leo J. Hannon, Jr.  Marie was a dear friend to many and loved by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hour on Saturday 8:30-9:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 AM.  Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
