Rodgers, Marie (Senna) of Quincy, died April 20, 2014. 

Marie was born in Cape Verde but grew up in Weston, MA and gained a love for the area, especially Walden Pond.  In 1941, her family moved to Boston. Marie graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School.  She worked as an office clerk for the Department of Public Works in Boston, Knapp Shoes, and Arbella Insurance.  Marie enjoyed reading and music.  Her main passion was spending time with her family and friends.  She will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Predeceased by her husband Walter Rodgers.  Beloved mother of Marie Rodgers, Carl Rodgers both of Quincy and the late Lorraine Rodgers.  Loving sister of Manuel Senna, Agnes Oliveira, Elizabeth Boc, Paul Senna, Frank Senna, Lillian Caramanis, Nancy Pereira, Donald Senna and the late Millie Senna, Wilhermina Tartarini and John Senna.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 5-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
