Marshall Dunham Brownlow, Jr.

Marshall Dunham Brownlow, Jr. of Pittsford, NY, passed December 6, 2013 in Hingham Mass.  He was 89 yrs. old. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Marie (Backer) Brownlow and family, Barbara Terranova and her husband Patrick of San Francisco CA, David Brownlow of Portland OR, Stephen Brownlow and his wife Carolyn, of Raleigh North Carolina and Connie Hill and her husband Brian, of Hingham Mass, his brother Kent Brownlow of Arizona, and his 13 grandchildren. 

Marshall’s life revolved around his loving family, and many good  friends in Pittsford NY.  He loved a good party, family gatherings, and his many grandchildren.  A United States Army Veteran of WWII, Marshall was an arial gunner in the Army Airforce, flying 28 combat missions over Germany. He was honored and proud to serve his country.  He later attended the University of Rochester, and retired as Vice President of United Refining Company. 

He will be remembered as a wonderful, kind, loving, gentle and peaceful man who was loved by all who knew him. Marshall was a history buff, and never stopped learning; attending classes at the University of Rochester into his 80’s.  He was a gentleman and a scholar. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, December 27 from 9-10 am in the Pyne Keohane Funeral home, 21 Emerald St. in Hingham, Mass.  A funeral service will follow at 10 am, and his committal service will be held in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 pm, where he will be given Military Honors by his country as a WWII hero.
