Mary Louise Flynn

Flynn, Mary Louise of Hingham, died November 25, 2013 after a brief illness at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Mary Louise was the youngest of nine children and was raised in Waltham. She was a graduate of Rosary Academy Grammar School in Watertown, Mount Saint Joseph High School in Brighton, Class of 1982, and a 1986 graduate of Boston College, Mary Louise lived fully the Ignation call to be ‘Women and Men for Others”. She worked for many years in finance for Battery March, Fidelity, Baybank, and Harvard. Her main devotion and vocation was the care and love of her two children, Matthew and William, and her mother Nancy. Mary Louise was a volunteer for over 10 years in the Hingham Public Schools and PTA. She will be missed greatly by Spike and Goldie, her beloved dogs, her large extended family and her many friends whom she supported with compassion, empathy, and love. She also always had a love for Scituate. At the time of her death, she was a student at the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work.

Beloved daughter of Nancy K. (Murphy) Flynn of Hingham and the late John J. Flynn, III. Loving mother of Matthew J. Vazquez, and William M. Vazquez, both of Hingham. Cherished sister of Maureen Anderson of Lenexa, KS, John J. Flynn, IV and his wife, Mary of Lexington, Andrea J. Hartnett and her husband, Jack, of Westwood, Christopher M. Flynn, of Concord, NH, Gregory C. Flynn, and his wife, Joan, of Weston, Elizabeth Ralich and her husband, Milenko, of Londonderry, NH, Peter M. Flynn and his wife, Laura, of Townsend, and Ruth F. Donahue and her husband, Mark of Middletown, RI. Loving partner of Jack Moriarty of Hingham. Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 3-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:45 AM Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
