Paul W. McHugh

McHugh, Paul W. of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Weymouth, died April 16, 2014 at the age of 87.

Paul served in the U.S. Navy. He retired as a highways and structure engineer from the Massachusetts Department of Public Works after 42 years of service. After retiring, he worked for Louis Berger Group in Needham for several years. He was an active member of both the Weymouth and the West Palm Beach Elks Lodge, a Past Grand Knight of the South Weymouth Knights of Columbus, #5027, a member of the Royal Order of Moose in Palm Beach Gardens and a Weymouth Town Meeting member. He volunteered for Weymouth Little League and Weymouth Youth Hockey. Recently, he has been very active in the Century Village Community in West Palm Beach.

Husband of the late Patricia M. (Bontell) McHugh. Loving father of Paul W. McHugh and wife Huguette of Quincy, William T. McHugh and wife Patricia of Rockland, Lana Callahan and husband Thomas of Medfield, Brenda P. King and husband Robert of Norwell, and Tammy M. Rubio of Wellington, FL. Cherished “Papa” of Matthew Callahan and wife Silvana, Daniel Callahan and fiancee Christine Eaton, Timothy King and fiancee Jessica Falbo, Patrick King and significant other Katie Scopelleti, Natalie Brennan and husband Timothy Brennan, Catherine King, Cori McHugh and her significant other Kevin Moore, Christopher and Daniel McHugh. Great grandfather of Valentina Callahan. Brother of the late Thomas, Edward, John, Roberta Podgurski, and Margaret Jones. Friend of Jean Siciliano.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
