Rev. Thomas J. Reilly

Reilly, Rev. Thomas J. of Quincy, died April 22, 2014. 

Thomas grew up in Brighton and knew from an early age that he wanted to be a priest.  It was his life’s passion to help people and they in turn strengthened his faith.  Ordained in 1967 and an active priest for 43 years, Father Tom was assigned to the following parishes; St. Margaret’s in Burlington, Our Lady of Lourdes in Jamaica Plain, Sacred Heart in N. Quincy, St. Catherine’s in Charlestown, St. Monica’s in S. Boston, St. Mary’s in Foxboro, and Our Lady of the Assumption in Marshfield.  He served as the Boston Police Chaplain for 25 years. 

Beloved son of the late Patrick J. Reilly and Elizabeth T. (McHale).  Loving brother of Maureen Reilly of Braintree, Patricia Clifford of Braintree, Eileen Rayne and her husband Michael, James Reilly and his wife Diana, and Theresa O’Donnell and her husband Donal; all of Quincy.  Also survived by 26 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Monday at 10:15 AM.  Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 11 AM.  Visiting hours Sunday from 2-7 PM.  Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Brighton.
