Robert T. Lindblad

Lindblad, Robert T. 88, of Quincy, formerly of Hyannis and Squantum died January 10, 2014. Beloved husband of Alice (Vavoudes) Lindblad of Quincy.  Loving father of Robert Lindblad Jr. and his wife Linda of Weymouth and Diane Barnes of Cambridge.  Brother of Kitty Sawin of Sudbury.  Cherished grandfather of Rob, Patrick and Dennis Lindblad.  Great grandfather of Alyssa Lindblad.

 

Robert was a graduate of Brighton High School and Suffolk University.  He worked for Key Bank in Wellesley for 30 years, retiring as Vice President in 1985.  After retiring, Bob kept the day-old bread store in business feeding the ducks and swans when ever he had the time.  Family and friends where the most important part of Bob’s life, spending time with them always made him a happy man.  Bob was a WWII Army Veteran serving in France, Belgium, and Germany and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.  He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 3-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A private Funeral Service for family will be celebrated at 6 PM in Keohane Funeral Home.  Donations in memory of Robert may be made to New England Paralyzed Veterans of America, 1600 Providence Highway, Suite 143, Walpole, MA  02081.
