Ruth M. Reardon

Ruth was  a long time resident of Hingham, she died December 6, 2013.

She was 88 years old and was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Carlton Reardon. She was raised in Squantum, a suburb of Quincy MA. She graduated from North Quincy High School, attended Wheaton college and then graduated from Gordon College with honors. She was a member of PHI ALPHA CHI. Ruth was a Developmental Specialist in Early Intervention with South Shore Mental Health for 24 years.

She was a published author of “Listening To The Littlest”, “Listen To My Feelings” and “Listen To A Teenager”. She was the beloved mother of Dorothy Eastburn of Memphis TN, Dennis Reardon of Plymouth MA, Joanne Ela of Barrington RI and Beth Vangel of Hingham MA.  Sister of Jean Bulman of Weymouth and Sister in Law of Nadia Husson of Manchester, NH. Ruth is predeceased by her brother James  and her sister Betty. She leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a longtime member of South Shore Baptist Church and was active in religious education programs. She was also a member of the Scituate VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Low Vision Group.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 4-7pm at Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., Hingham MA. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, Dec. 12 at South Shore Baptist Church, 578 Main St., Hingham MA. Burial in  Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
