So sorry for your loss. I will always remember John and Janet as a couple who made colonial acres a great neighborhood to grow up in -- such positive personalities that you could never be in anything but a good mood when they were around. I am sure that the party has started in heaven with those that went before even as sadness will hang over families and friends on earth due to Janet's passing.

I met Janet in 1986 when I went to work at Standish, Ayer & Wood and worked with her until her retirement. She was such a fine example for new employees and a pleasure to work with through the years. I saw her talent for quilting in shows after her retirement. I am sorry that she has gone so suddenly, Rose Donoghue

To Andy & Sandra, the entire Dignan family and to friends of Janet- I will remember Janet from my youth. Andy was one of my childhood friends. His parents, like all our parents in the neighbourhood, were considered those wonderful adult creatures who kept us all safe and fed. Janet was a spirited and friendly member of the ‘Moms’ brigade, who looked over us during our childhood years. In later life I knew Janet as my sister’s mother-in-law. She had barely changed at all, her spirit and wry smile remained her personal signature. She will leave fond and loving memories for her family and friends. Much love and healing thoughts go out to you all. Rick Lucas New Zealand

Janet was genuinely loved by so many people and she has left a giant hole in my heart. She possessed such charm, grace and beauty, such kindness, humor and enthusiasm – and, oh, her smile!! She was a superb friend, teacher and artist and I will forever miss her. Godspeed, dearest Janet…

To all of the Dignan Family I am in Weymouth visiting my sister Helene and just saw the obituary of you mother. I am so sad to hear of her passing. I always thought your mother was so beautiful and she was so nice. I used to deliver the newspaper to her house when I was a teenager and lived across the street.I am Ed and Mary Marks' youngest child. Your parents, both, were lovely people. Unfortunately , I fly back to Jacksonville, FL on Wednesday morning. I would have liked to have gone to her mass. Please know I am thinking of your family at this difficult time. Take care ....... again I am so sorry for your loss.

My sincerest condolences to your family. Janet touched many more lives than you know. In the quilting world she was not only admired for her abilities and expertise but also for being a gracious, kind and inspiring person. Her leadership, humor and that "little twinkle in her eye" will remain with us forever.
