Music at the Gazebo in Hull Free Sunday Concert Series Beginning Sept. 7th

September 3, 2014

We are proud to present our “end of summer” Sunday concerts series at Veterans’ Memorial Park in Hull again this year.  On three successive Sundays, beginning September 7th from 2 pm – 4 pm, three popular bands will present both instrumental and vocal music at this family-oriented free concert series, guaranteed to get your musical toes tapping!

Gazebo3

The kick-off concert features The Jazz Depot with featured vocalist (and Hull native) Katy Shea.  The Jazz Depot will perform a variety of New Orleans Jazz, Rhythm, Cool Jazz, Contemporary and Improv.  This popular jazz group also features Edward Troxler on guitar, Barry Stainer on drums, Eric Clough on bass, Adam Weber on trombone, and Staffon Jonsson on trumpet.

On Sunday, September 14th, The Workingman’s Band will perform classics from the Great American Songbook – popular music from the 1930s through the 1950s.  Highlighting renowned Jazz Vocalist Phyllis Fallon, The Workingman’s Band is a Music at the Gazebo favorite!

The closing concert on Sunday, September 21st will feature an old “friend,” Tom Nutile who, with his band, will present patriotic songs, swing, pop, rock, and classic oldies.

We want to thank the Hull Memorial Commission for allowing us to use this lovely park for our concerts, which are presented as a gift to the community.  Music at the Gazebo has become a staple of September activities in Hull, and we are excited to be able to present this concert series again this year – we look forward to it as much as the residents of Hull!  Bring a blanket or chair, relax and enjoy the music.
