Alfred J. Thomas

Alfred J. Thomas, 97, of Boston, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2015. A quiet, solid, genuinely good man. Defined by his long military career in the US Navy, retired Commander, served in WWII and Korean Wars.  Alfred was a big Boston sports fan and a lifetime volunteer at The Museum of Science. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise Caroline (Aspesi) Thomas. Loving father to Marcia Thomas of Weymouth and Susan Cohen and her husband Charles Cohen of Weston. Brother to the late Helen, Dorothea, Barbara, and Robert. Also a brother to William of Arizona. Grandfather of Jennifer, Rachel and Alex Cohen. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a morning visitation on Friday September 4, from 11AM – 12PM, with a funeral home service to follow at 12PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
