Amalia Ann “Amy” Hayford, 94, of Weymouth passed away Monday, September 8th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 4 days shy of her 95th birthday. She had lived in Weymouth for the past 65 years.
Amy was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Ernesta Pellegrini of Quincy MA, beloved wife of the late Roy A. Hayford for 38 years. Devoted mother of their children, Stephen Hayford of Ocoee FL, Mark Hayford of Weymouth MA, Lisa Scott of North Kingstown, RI and Greg Hayford and his longtime girlfriend Alicia Torres of West Bridgewater MA, grandmother of Nicole Hayford Sylvester and her husband Tyler of Taunton MA and 1 great-grandchild of the soon to be born Logan John Sylvester, sister of the late Mel Pellegrini and aunt to Joseph and David Pellegrini, sister in-law to Carol Harvey (Hayford) and husband John and nephew Jack.
Amy was a true lady with a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. Amy has touched countless lives and will be remembered fondly for her endless compassion and capacity to help others whenever she was needed. She loved spending time with her family, especially birthday dinners and summer cookouts.
Amy was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved engaging in activities at the Weymouth Senior Center with her friends. Growing up in Quincy MA Amy loved ballroom dancing and also was an avid bowler, once boasting a perfect game.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
Services will conclude with interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
