Amy Cain passed away suddenly on July 3 in Somerville MA.

Later in her life Amy worked as a home health care for over 10 years. She developed friendships and lasting relationships with many of her clients.

Prior to that she was an artist and freelance calligrapher and graphic designer. Art was a passion of hers which she inherited from her mother

Amy was the daughter of the late Jess Cain and the late Jean Cain. She was born in New York City and spent most of her early years with her family in Hingham MA.

She graduated from the Stockbridge School in Stockbridge MA in 1973 before continuing her education at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Massachusetts School of Art and Design, and the Katherine Gibbs School.

She is survived by her brother Jesse Cain of Concord NH and his three sons Jarod (and his wife Danielle) Trevor (and his wife Meaghan) and Corey (and his wife Caliegh), her brother Michael and his wife Cheryl of Weymouth and brother Kevin and his wife Claire of Vineyard Haven. In addition she leaves great nieces and nephews and cousins as well her beloved Aunt Delores of Philadelphia.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 11 AM - 1 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
