Andrea Nelson of Weymouth, passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 4, 2026. She was 56.Throughout her life, Andrea enjoyed figure skating, gardening, sailing, music and concerts, watching television shows and movies with her family and had a consistent passion for animals from a young age.

Professionally, Andrea began her career at Stone & Webster as an Executive Assistant before transitioning to Fidelity Investments System Group where she remained for five years.

After her tenure, she began the career she always wanted: working with animals. Andrea was employed for several years at PetSmart in Walpole and Braintree, making a difference in the lives of many dogs and families with her pet training skills, before choosing to retire.

Building a community around her hobbies, Andrea and Chris could always be found going to dog shows and spending time with their furry friends or visiting the occasional car show.Andrea was also a passionate mother, spending weekends with her daughter as a band mom, championing academic excellence for her daughter and supporting and inspiring her daughter’s creative hobbies from sewing to the arts and everything in-between.

Sister of Paula A. Nelson and her husband, Dick Jensen of Newtown, PA, John Nelson, III (Jay) and his wife, Caroline, of Clearwater, FL, and the late Karen Tise and her surviving husband, Bob Tise of Cape Coral, FL.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 10/14/2026 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home North Weymouth at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square.)

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Thursday 10/15/2026 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.

Burial will follow in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth. All are invited to attend a reception at Grill 151, 151 Main Street, Weymouth, MA 02188, at 12-3 PM following the burial.

Andrea would love anyone able to attend her Celebration of Life to be as comfortable as you wish regarding your attire.

She will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her.
