Comeau, Anne M. (MacDonald) “Auntie Anne” “Rara” of Hingham, died August 10, 2026.
Anne was a graduate of Holy Trinity High School in Roxbury and Shepard-Gill School of Nursing in Boston. She was a longtime employee of Westwood Lodge as an LPN and was a born caretaker. She was a member of the Perennial Gardeners of the South Shore, the Hingham Citizens Police Academy, the Community Emergency Response Team, a Group Leader of St. Paul’s RCIA, and a trip planner for the Senior Center. Anne spent many summers grooming the Boston Harbor Islands and loved the ocean and going to the beach. She was a big traveler, especially to Europe, Scotland, and Canada. She loved a good lunch or dinner outing, whether it be for fresh seafood or to Taco Bell. Anne was a happy, loving, and warm woman who lit up the room and made everyone feel special. She was a great listener and would always help you with anything you needed. She will be greatly missed.
Loving daughter of the late Alexander and Jessie MacDonald. Cherished mother of Robert Scott Comeau, Bruce Curtis Comeau, and the late René and Keith Douglas Comeau. Devoted “Rara” of Justin, Jason, and Josh Comeau. Loving sister of Jean Wheeler and Kevin MacDonald and the late Kenneth A. MacDonald, R.J. MacDonald, and Joan F. Leskoski.
