It is with both heavy hearts and profound admiration that we announce the passing of Anton Repa, who left this world on September 30, 2025, in Plymouth, formerly of Milton, Massachusetts. Born on May 5, 1942, in Znaim, Austria, Anton embraced life with a spirited determination that remained with him until his last breath. He was one of five boys; he is predeceased by Hansjorge, his identical twin Paul and youngest brother Karl. His last surviving brother is Peter.
A man of remarkable talents, Anton was not only an accomplished race car driver but also a master mechanic of heavy equipment and trained master butcher. His hands were as skilled in the workshop as they were in the creation of art and craftsmanship, bringing beauty and functionality to those around him. His passions were matched only by his exceptional work ethic and his easy smile, a warmth that drew others near. And, inevitably, there was the comforting presence of his pipe, a symbol of his thoughtful moments amidst a life well-lived.
His legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his brother Peter and his wife Rosi, along with their children & many grandchildren, who stand as testament to their enduring bond and Repa legacy. Also in Austria, his daughter Petra Berg and her daughter Stella carry forth his spirit. In the United States, daughter Hilary Repa and her companion Steve Winterson nurture his legacy with love, as do Steve's sons Jack and Christopher. Daughter Kristen Repa Savona and her husband Leonardo, with their children Penelope and Satchel, embody the creativity and passion Anton treasured in life. He also leaves behind his former wife Pat, originally of London England.
He shared a special bond with his longtime companion Joan Righi, who complemented his spirited nature. Joan's daughter Nancy and her husband Ronnie Ivil were also part of the richness and joy of his life, illustrating the love, connections, and friendships that enriched his years.
Anton Repa’s departure leaves a void that will be keenly felt by all who knew him. His extraordinary spirit and the indelible mark he made during his time with us will ensure that he is never forgotten. Relatives and friends are invited to honor his memory during visiting hours on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home, located at 785 Hancock St. in Quincy. A funeral service will be held on the same day at 1 PM in the funeral home, followed by cremation.
