Arlene Ann Platteel (Sunnerberg), of Pembroke, formerly of Weymouth, went to be with our Lord on June 14, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Adrian F. Platteel. Mother to Karen Kelly and Frank; Peter Platteel and Kathy; Billy; Michael and Jennifer; and Jimmy and Vanna. Nana to 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandsons and 1 on the way.

Arlene was a member of First Baptist Church in Weymouth for over 50 years. She loved bowling when she was younger, dining out, and lobster rolls. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She adored her great grandsons. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday 6/20/2026 at 10 AM in South Shore Baptist Church, 578 Main St., Hingham. Burial will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Arlene's memory may be made to South Shore Baptist Church Missions Fund.
