Arthur J. Gillis Jr.

Gillis, Arthur J., “Joe”  Jr. of Quincy, passed away May 29, 2017 at the age of 75.

Joe was born in Quincy and was a lifelong resident. He proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for many years for the MA State Lottery as the Director of Human Resources. Joe also worked as a Fundraising Consultant for many campaigns for various politicians. He enjoyed fishing and loved being on the water. He was also an avid reader. Joe was a quiet and kind gentleman. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Son to the late Arthur and Alice (Fraher) Gillis. Former husband of the late Karen Petrillo. Dear brother to Patricia Dethomaso and her husband the late Nicholas of Quincy, Dianne Dethomaso and her husband the late Dominic of Weymouth, Robert Gillis and  his wife Judy of Hanover, Corinne Donadio and her husband Rick of Weymouth, Debra Wisch and her husband Daniel of FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
