Barbara Joyce Glew
July 29, 1940 – February 11, 2026
Barbara Joyce Glew, 85, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, passed peacefully on February 11, 2026.
Barbara was known for her loving presence, gentle strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She raised seven children and devoted her life to encouraging and supporting them through every stage of their lives. Her home was a place of warmth and steady reassurance. Family was always at the center of her world.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tony, whose memory she carried closely in her heart. She is survived by six of her children, Melvyn R. Millen and his wife Margaret; David B. Millen and his wife Katharine; Debra A. Rock and her husband Anthony; Jonathan E. Millen and his wife Diane; Kenneth W. Glew and his wife Peggy; and Michelle M. Lloyd and her husband Ken as well as Tony’s wife, Merle and their families. She also leaves behind 17 cherished grandchildren and 11 beloved great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her tremendous pride and joy.
Barbara enjoyed traveling with her mother Emily and her sister Shirley, creating lasting memories along the way. She loved spending time at the Marshfield Senior Center, where she mingled with friends and peers. She was also known to visit casinos on occasion too. In her quieter moments, she found comfort in knitting, crocheting, and quilting—often creating handmade gifts for those she loved.
Her Christian faith was an important part of her life and provided her with strength and comfort. She will be remembered for her kindness, her steady encouragement, and the deep love she showed to her family. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and, in the generations, she helped raise.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
