Barry Ralph Driscoll, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Quincy, MA, on July 30, 2025, after a long illness. He was surrounded by family, friends, and his beloved dog, Levi. Barry is also survived by his longtime friend and partner, Marjarita Doherty.

Born on September 28, 1956, in Boston, MA, Barry grew up in Foxborough, MA. In his younger years, he enjoyed a variety of sports, including salmon fishing in Alaska and skiing in the Swiss Alps. He loved to travel and had a passion for motorcycles. As an adult, Barry remained an avid sports enthusiast and played in several softball leagues. He also had a deep appreciation for gardening and took great pride in his own garden. A true animal lover, Barry had several dogs throughout his life, each of whom he cherished. He was also a dedicated supporter of Angell Animal Medical Center in Jamaica Plain, MA, to which he made regular donations.

Barry was a skilled Union carpenter for over 30 years, contributing to numerous high-rise projects in Boston and the surrounding areas. In addition to his professional work, he was always eager to craft and build projects around the house.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Barbara Driscoll. He is survived by his sister, Deborah Wood, and her husband, Dennis, as well as three nieces and their husbands: Terri and Michael Gavel, Lindsay and John Crowley, and Caitlin and John DiGennaro. Barry also leaves behind his grandnieces and nephew: Tailor, Kylie, Rory, and Keagan.

In accordance with Barry's wishes, there will be no service or calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Angell Animal Medical Center,  350 So. Huntington Avenue, Jamaica Plain, MA , a cause that was near and dear to his heart.
