Dwyer, Beverly (Stearns) of Weymouth, passed away on September 23, 2024. She was 95.
Her life was a tapestry of vibrant experiences, woven with the threads of adventure, sportsmanship, and an unwavering zest for life. Beverly's journey began 95 years ago, and throughout those cherished years, she embraced life's offerings with an open heart and a smile that could light up any room.
For four decades, Beverly found her winter solace under the sunny skies of Florida, where the sea breeze whispered tales of serenity and happiness. Her independent spirit shone brightly as she actively engaged in a myriad of pursuits that kept her youthful at heart. The pickleball courts, golf greens, and tennis courts were her arenas of joy, where she demonstrated her athletic prowess and competitive spirit.
Beverly's love for community was evident in her involvement with the Naughty Needlers and her regular attendance at bingo at the Senior Center. Her laughter filled the air during spirited card games, and her sense of adventure found its thrill in frequent trips to the casino, where she reveled in the camaraderie and excitement.
Her love story with her husband was one for the ages, having joined hearts at the tender age of 18 and nurturing their bond across 56 years of marriage. Together, they soared the skies in a private plane, a testament to their shared love for freedom and exploration. In their golden years, Beverly and her husband embraced the life of lobster fishermen, a chapter that reflected their enduring partnership and love for the ocean's bounty.
Loving wife to the late George L. Dwyer. Cherished mother to Virginia Marsh and and the late William and her current companion Tom Weir of Weymouth, James Dwyer and his wife Barbara of Whitman, and Michael Dwyer of FL. Grandmother to 8: Scott, Jason, Jamie, Colleen, Alison, Jonathan, Jameson, and Jeremy. Great grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren including the late Katie Marsh. Predeceased by her siblings Betty Hebert, Barbara Farren, and James Stearns. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 9:45 AM. Those looking to process down to the cemetery are requested to meet in the lower lot of McDoanld Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main Street by 8:30 AM.
