Beverly Anne (Trindall) Petrelli

Beverly Anne (Trindall) Petrelli, of Weymouth, died peacefully, following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 77.

Beverly was born in Boston on June 14, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Horace S. Trindall Jr. and Carmen R. (Martin) Trindall. She was raised in Revere, was a proud graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Cambridge before continuing her education at Stonehill College, where she earned her undergraduate degree. Driven by an unwavering love of learning, she later earned her master’s degree from Suffolk University.

Beverly dedicated her life to education, sharing her passion for Biology and Chemistry with generations of students. She began her career at Our Lady of Nazareth Academy, teaching for ten years before stepping away to raise her children. When she returned to the classroom, she taught seventh grade for five years before transitioning to the high school level. Her talent, leadership, and devotion to her students soon led her to become head of the science department. Beverly retired in 2015, concluding a remarkable 30 year teaching career marked by excellence, compassion, and an enduring commitment to her students’ success.

To those who knew her, Beverly was generous, brilliant, well read, and eloquent. She was a mentor to young teachers, a trusted colleague, and the type of educator who always went above and beyond. Her dedication extended far beyond the classroom, as she volunteered tirelessly, supported every school community she joined, and believed deeply in the value of lifelong learning.

Outside of her professional life, Beverly embraced a wide range of interests. She loved reading, puzzles, golfing, and bowling, and she found joy in traveling. Aruba was one of her favorite destinations, and she treasured river cruises through Europe, as well as memorable trips to France, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, and most recently, a Mississippi River cruise before the flooding. Her curiosity about the world never faded.

In her spare time, Beverly enjoyed escaping into a good romance novel or immersing herself in her favorite Sci-Fi and fantasy shows.

Above all, Beverly’s greatest devotion was to her family. She was a dedicated provider who always ensured her loved ones had everything they needed. Her warmth, generosity, and steadfast love created a foundation of strength that will remain with them forever.

Beverly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, intellect, and unwavering dedication. She touched countless lives through her teaching, her friendship, and her quiet but profound acts of care. She will be deeply missed by all the lives she touched.

Beverly was the beloved wife of Robert J. “Bob” Petrelli Sr., with whom she shared over 50 loving years. She was the devoted mother of Alicia M. Murray and her husband Daniel of Hanover, and Robert J. “Bob” Petrelli Jr. and his wife Maria of Weymouth. Beverly was the loving grandmother of William Murray of Hanover, Mia and Lila Petrelli, both of Weymouth. She was the dear sister of Stephen Trindall and his wife Karen of Hanover. Beverly is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
