Carmela (Forgione) Hickey

Hickey, Carmela (Forgione) of Pembroke, formerly of Weymouth, died January 16, 2017 at the age of 91.

Carmela worked as a traffic supervisor for the Weymouth Police Department for many years. In her younger days, she was a member of the Sacred Heart Mother’s Club and Sodality. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and family vacations in NH. She also enjoyed bowling and dancing. Most of all, she cherished her time with family, especially her three loving grandchildren.

Carmela was the wife of the late William Hickey. Loving mother of Richard Hickey and wife Roberta of Rockland and Robert Hickey and wife Kelly of Pembroke. Sister of  Ernest Forgione and wife Marjorie of Woodstock, VT and the late Salvatore and Mary Forgione. Devoted “Gram” of Linda, William, and Joseph Hickey. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Thomas More Church, Braintree at 9:30 AM. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth.
