Carol Gail Batchman, 76, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, passed away on October 23, 2026.

Born in New London, Connecticut, on September 1950, Carol was the daughter of the late Lester and Selma Hankin of Hamden, Connecticut.

She was the beloved sister of Ellen Ritt (Aaron Johnson) of Denver, Colorado, and the late Michael Hankin of Meriden, CT.

Carol was the loving mother of Sarah Gifford (Jake) of Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts, Jonathan Ross of Weymouth, Massachusetts and Rebecca Ross (Richard Patino) of Rosiclare, Il. She was also the proud grandmother of Dante Patino.

She will be remembered as a generous friend, a feisty, independent soul who loved the color purple.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Weymouth Food Pantry in Carol’s memory.
