Sandy, Carol J. (Wyres) of Hingham, passed away on October 4, 2026. She was 98 years old.

Carol J. Sandy was a loving and caring woman whose life was defined by her devotion to faith and family, her compassion for others, and her commitment to helping those around her.

Carol dedicated much of her professional life to caring for others, serving as an Executive Director for senior living facilities. She found great meaning in her work, making a difference in the lives of the seniors and families she served.

Above all, Carol cherished her family. She shared an extraordinary 78 year marriage with her beloved husband, Theodore. Their enduring marriage was a beautiful testament to their devotion to one another.

Carol also enjoyed many years singing in her church choir, where her love of music and faith brought her great joy.

Carol will be remembered for her kind heart, caring nature, strength, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, compassion, and devotion that will continue through her family and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.

A Graveside service will be celebrated on Wednesday 10/14/2026 at 11:30 AM in the Shawsheen Cemetery-Bedford (15 Shawsheen Rd, Bedford, MA 01730).
