Obituary

Listen to Obituary

Carol Ann Templeton of Weymouth, died June 1, 2026.

Carol was truly a woman before her time. She was a trailblazer in the LGTBQ+ community and a champion of women’s rights and social justice. She earned a degree in criminal justice from Northeastern University and was the Assistant Chief Probation Officer for the Quincy Probate Court and a proud Army veteran. Carol loved her family, hearing about her grand nieces and nephew’s accomplishments, and spending time with her brothers and cousins Kay and Pat. She enjoyed music, art, history, and traveling with her wife Selina. Carol was a strong woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of Selina King of Weymouth. Loving sister of John Templeton and his late wife Geraldine of Belchertown and the late David Templeton and his late wife Syliva. Cherished aunt of Brian Templeton and his wife Christine of Goffstown, NH, Rebecca Sharkey of Goffstown, NH, and John Joseph Templeton and his wife Amy Laprade of Belchertown.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 6/5/2026 from 10-11 AM in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull, MA followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Burial will be Saturday 6/6/2026 at 11 AM in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
