Carole A. Broom

Broom, Carole A. (DePesa), of Weymouth, passed away on September 21, 2025. She was 84.

Born in Quincy, she was the daughter of Edward and Aurelia (Dimario) DePesa.

A proud graduate of Weymouth High School, Carole's educational journey laid the foundation for a life rich in knowledge and curiosity. Her love story began as the girl next door, blossoming into a beautiful partnership that stood the test of time. Carole and her beloved husband Martin celebrated an impressive 65 years of marriage, a testament to their enduring love and mutual respect.

Carole's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She was an avid traveler, with Italy holding a special place in her heart. The cobblestone streets, the rich history, and the vibrant culture of Italy were sources of endless fascination and joy for her. Gardening was another of Carole's pleasures; she found solace and delight in tending to her plants, nurturing them to thrive just as she did with her relationships.

Settling in Weymouth after moving from Quincy, Carole created a warm and welcoming home where family was always at the center. She cherished every moment spent with her three children, from taking them to the beach to witnessing their growth into adulthood. Over the years, her role as a mother seamlessly transitioned into that of a friend, offering guidance and support with an open heart.

Carole's ability to make friends wherever she went was a testament to her friendly nature. Her loving and kind demeanor drew people to her, and she built a community of friends who valued her companionship.

Those who knew Carole will remember her as the embodiment of love, kindness, and friendliness. Her legacy is one of deep familial bonds, lasting friendships, and the simple joys of life's journey. Carole A. Broom's memory will forever be a guiding light for her family, a reminder of the beauty of a life well-lived and the enduring power of love.
