Charlene M. Walsh, of North Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 30, 2026. She was 77 years old.
Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, on May 16, 1948. She was raised in Dorchester, where she attended and graduated from Cardinal Cushing Central High School. Charlene was the daughter of the late Andrew J. Borden and Anna M. Spidle, Stepdaughter of Roderick Spidle of Centerville.
Charlene was the devoted wife of the late Michael J. Walsh, and together they shared a deep and enduring love through their 56 years of marriage. Their life was built on faith, family, and unwavering devotion to one another. They later settled in North Weymouth, where they created a warm and welcoming home, raised their nine children, and built lifelong friendships within the community. Through the years, Charlene and Michael were known for the love they shared, the strength of their partnership, and the joy of a home always filled with family and friends.
She was the proud mother of Laura Canniff and her husband Daniel, Brenda Walsh, Gregory Walsh, Christine Cinquegrano and her husband Ronald, Donna Kajunski and her husband Paul, James Walsh and his wife Marie, Ryan Walsh and his wife Meghan, Suzanne Rigney and her husband James, and Eric Walsh and his wife Christina.
She was the proud grandmother of Shawn, Michael, Sarah, Anna, Thomas, Angela, Andrew, Christopher, Justin, Matteo, Gianna, Madison, Haliey, Abigail, Natalie, Charlotte, Kyleigh, Trevor, Hazel, Riley, Reese, Rose, Claire, and Isabelle, and the loving great-grandmother of Maeve and Shawn.
She was the sister of Lorraine Rosen of Stoneham , the late Adrain Borden of Whitman, the late Joseph Borden of Plymouth, and the late Beverly Sullivan of Weymouth.
She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 PM at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth, 809 Main Street, S. Weymouth, MA 02190.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Jerome Church, Weymouth.
Interment will be private.
