Cindy (Buechs) Sullivan

Cindy (Buechs) Sullivan, of Hingham, formerly of Boston's South End, died peacefully, following a sudden illness, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the South Shore Hospital, in Weymouth. She was 62.

Cynthia (Cindy) was born on June 4, 1963, in Boston. She grew up in the South End, where she met her soulmate and biggest admirer, Bob. From the early days of many ice cream and roller skating dates, they quickly had an unbreakable friendship and bond. Eventually they moved to Hingham and built a life and family together full of deep love and joy.

She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, had a deep devotion to her family, church, and community. Cindy was actively involved in many ministries within St. Paul's, Resurrection and the faith community. Cindy was a servant leader and was always helping those around her, expecting nothing in return. She made those in her orbit feel special, loved and cared for.

Cindy loved to travel and easily made new, authentic connections everywhere she went. Through St. Paul’s parish, Cindy chaperoned young people on many Catholic pilgrimages, including to Poland, Israel and our Blessed Mother of Medjugorje.

Cindy had a big heart and loved to dance, cook, spend time at the beach and with her loved ones. The simplest pleasures in life brought immense joy to Cindy. She loved an evening with friends or a day spent with her cherished grandchildren and family. She will be so, so deeply missed by all who love her.

Beloved partner of 43 years and wife to Robert Sullivan of Hingham. Devoted mother to her four children, Robert Sullivan II of Plymouth and his wife Darcy, Alyssa (Sullivan) Driscoll and her husband Nick of Kansas, Kara Sullivan and her husband Daniel of Weymouth and Ricky Sullivan and his wife Caitlin of Boston. Proud Nana to Keylee, Lily Anna, Robert, Nicholas, James, Brian and Edward. Loving daughter of Anna (Anastos) Buechs and Lawrence Buechs of Plymouth. Dear sister of Lawrence Buechs II and his wife Anne of Quincy and Cheryl Williams of Plymouth. She is also survived by many, many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from, 4-7 PM in St. Paul's Church, 147 North St., Hingham.
