Claire G. (Goodrow) Armburg

Claire G. (Goodrow) Armburg, a lifelong resident of Weymouth (apart from the time she lived in Arizona), died peacefully at home with her daughters at her side on Saturday, May 10, 2025. She was 89.

Claire was born in Revere on March 9, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Anna C. (Donahue) Goodrow. She was raised in Weymouth, attended local schools, and graduated from Weymouth High School.

Claire was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, a cherished sister, and a quiet force of strength, compassion, and humor. She passed peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of selflessness and love that touched everyone who knew her.

A woman of quiet grace, Claire always put others before herself. Though she often felt she could have done more, those around her knew she gave everything she had—time, energy, care, and love—to her family and those in need. She was the kind of person who showed up, even when she was tired, who listened when others needed to talk, and who gave without ever expecting anything in return.

Claire had a great sense of humor, feistiness, and a gentle wit that brought joy to everyday moments. She found joy in the simple pleasures—reading a good book, working on her knitting, practicing tai chi, or walking to stay active. She loved walking with her sisters, staying fit at the gym, and being outside. Family was everything to her, and she built her life around those she loved most.

Though reserved by nature, Claire’s quiet presence had a profound and lasting impact. Her life was a gift to her family, and her memory will continue to guide and inspire them.

Claire was the devoted mother of Patricia Mullin, Karen Nulph, and Diane Beach and her husband David. Claire was the loving grandmother of Rob Nulph and his wife Kasey; Nicki Slade and her husband Tyrone; Katie Mullin; Brian Mullin; Benjamin George; and Kelley George and her partner, Maria (Ortiz) George. She was the loving great grandmother of Elyziah, Izriel, and Kaiah Slade; Keira and Logan Nulph; and Miguel, Moises and Mateo Ortiz. She was the dear sister of Robert Goodrow and his wife Margo; and Dorathy Archibald. She was preceded in death by her siblings: John Goodrow, Joseph Goodrow, Arlene Mills, June LeVangie, and Carole Ross. Claire is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to gather with the family on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 9-10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) followed by procession to graveside.
