Constance L. “Connie” (Nadeau) Monteiro died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 3, 2026. The beloved wife of the late Antonio A. Monteiro. Cherished mother of David Monteiro and his wife Sheryl of Hull, Donna Monteiro Stoker of Quincy and Richard Monteiro and his wife Suzette of Middleboro. Daughter of late William Nadeau and Bertha (Bouvier) Nadeau. Sister of the late Julian, Ben, Norman and Gay. Devoted grandmother of Bronwyn Monteiro, Kiely Hajjar and her husband Tony, Justin Monteiro and his wife Megan, Danielle and her husband Jose’ Elicier, Bryan Stoker, Krystina Stoker. Great grandmother of Mackenzie, Luke, Miley, Daniel and Tilly.
Connie grew up in Dorchester, later becoming a resident of the Gull Point neighborhood of Quincy. A dedicated mother who spent her life caring for others. Connie (or Monty as she was known) was employed at the Mass Hospital School in Canton where she worked for almost 25 years. Her deep compassion, joy and kindness touched the lives of many children and young adults with disabilities.She was a passionate supporter since the 1950's of the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps. She spent countless summers traveling to shows and cheering from the stands for her beloved Crusaders. Connie will always be remembered as the quintessential grandmother and for her love of baking and her legendary homemade fudge. She made her fudge with love and her memory will leave us with a sweetness in the hearts of all that knew her.
On behalf of the family they wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate staff at Grove Manor Estates Memory Care in Braintree for all the exceptional care and love they provided to Connie during her time there.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday, July 13, 2026 from 8:30 -10am in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Monday, July 13th prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
