David Michael McGlone "Dave" passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on October 22, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Weymouth, MA to his parents George and Catherine (DeLuca) McGlone and lived there most of his life.

Dave graduated from Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA where he was a standout athlete excelling in every sport he played. He went on to study at Boston University graduating with a degree in teaching. He taught for many years in the Weymouth Public schools including Ralph Talbot Elementary School. Dave had a life long passion for physical fitness and ultimately chose to pursue a career in the health club business, eventually at Bayshore Athletic Club in Braintree where he had many wonderful years and made lifelong friends.

Dave was also a jazz aficionado and became personal friends with world-renowned pianist Dave McKenna who performed at his 70th birthday party.

Dave leaves three beloved children, Lisa Black and her husband Michael Misner, Suzanne Davis and her husband Scott Davis, and David McGlone as well as three grandchildren, Abigail McGlone, Davis Stuart and Em McGlone. He was predeceased by his parents and brother George McGlone.
