IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Denise Sarah
Picot
March 7, 1957 – February 4, 2026
Denise Sarah Picot, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 68.
Denise was born in Quincy on March 7, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Jordan and Gladys (Mulligan) Picot. She was raised in the Adams Shore neighborhood of Quincy, where she developed the strong roots and love of home that stayed with her throughout her life. She was a proud graduate of Quincy Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1975.
Denise began her career as an iron worker with Local 7, a trade she embraced wholeheartedly. Iron work was not just her job, it was her passion. She took immense pride in her work and in knowing that her hands helped shape the Boston skyline. Throughout her career, she remained dedicated, hardworking, and proud to be part of the brotherhood and sisterhood of iron workers.
Denise had a deep and genuine love for animals of all kinds. Dogs, cats, lizards, no creature was ever turned away from her affection. She was also a wonderful homemaker who created a warm, welcoming space filled with love, laughter, and music.
She spent time living in Florida, enjoying the sunshine and a change of pace, but ultimately returned to Massachusetts, often saying there was “no place like home.” Quincy always held her heart.
Known for her kind heart, great personality, and infectious sense of humor, Denise was a loving and caring presence in the lives of everyone who knew her. She lived life to the fullest and never missed a chance to enjoy it. Music was one of her greatest joys, and she loved all kinds. From classic 45 records to modern favorites, and she could truly dance like no one else.
Above all else, Denise was devoted to her children. She always looked out for them and loved them fiercely and unconditionally.
Denise will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Denise was the devoted mother of Glenn DiChiara and his husband Andrew of Framingham and Donna Concannon of Weymouth. She was the loving sister of Donna Picot, and Deb Picot, both of Quincy. Denise is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.
Following cremation, Denise will be interred privately in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
