Dennis S. Wolfe of Weymouth passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 78.
Dennis was known for his big heart, infectious laughter, and extraordinary ability to bring joy to everyone around him. His quick wit and easygoing nature made others feel seen, appreciated, and truly happy. Whether through humor, time, or love, his generosity knew no limits, and his presence could light up even the darkest moments. Dennis’s kindness and spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Dennis formed deep and lasting friendships. One of his closest friends, Robert "Pittsy" Robertsson, was like a brother to him, and their bond brought them both immense joy.
Dennis’s greatest love, however, was his family. He and his wife, Meredith, shared 33 years of love and devotion, building a beautiful life together. Dennis often said that the happiest moment of his life was when she entered it. She was not only his wife but his best friend and confidant, and their partnership was one of mutual respect and deep affection.
Dennis was incredibly proud of his role as a father and grandfather. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy. Whether sailing on the Mystic River or simply spending time together, he cherished every moment and created countless memories that will live on in their hearts.
A passionate golfer, Dennis approached the game with the same enthusiasm he brought to everything in life. He was also a lover of music, often found dancing or singing along to his favorite tunes. His upbeat attitude made him a beloved presence on and off the golf course, where he formed many lifelong friendships.
Dennis’s love for the ocean was a constant throughout his life. As a proud U.S. Navy veteran, he developed a deep connection to the sea, one that stayed with him forever. The rhythm of the waves and the ocean breeze always brought him peace and inspiration, and he sought solace by the water whenever he could. The ocean was a source of joy and calm for him, a love that shaped much of his life.
Professionally, Dennis spent many years working at Polaroid and, in his 40s, returned to school to earn his bachelor’s degree, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth and learning when he became an accountant. After retiring, Dennis and Meredith moved to Myrtle Beach, where Dennis could enjoy golf year-round and live near the ocean he adored.
Dennis’s legacy will be one of kindness, generosity, and humor. He will always be remembered for the way he made others feel—uplifted, valued, and truly seen. His warmth and easygoing nature will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Meredith Wolfe; his children, Meredith Parke and her partner David Cavanaugh of Middletown, CT, Adam Wolfe and his wife Doreen of Taunton, Eric Wolfe and his wife Jill of Brockton, Jeffrey Wolfe of Rockland, and the late Nicholas Logan and his late wife Marci. He was a proud grandfather to Dylan Wolfe, Kyle Wolfe, Brandon Wolfe, Sabrina Wolfe, Alex Wolfe, Andrea Wolfe, Benjamin Parke, Cameron Parke, Lillian Parke, and the late Deirdre Wolfe, and a great-grandfather to Aiden Wolfe.
