Diane (Eriksen) Manning passed away on December 22, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Diane’s life was defined by strength, sacrifice, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Although she was born in Malden and had early roots in Revere, Diane was, at heart and always, a Beverly girl. She moved to Beverly at the age of three or four, where she was raised and where her story truly began. Diane was the middle child of the Eriksen family, with an older brother, Robert “Bobby” Clark Eriksen, and a younger sister, Francis (Eriksen) Finnicaro. From a young age, she showed grace, determination, and a quiet resilience that would shape her life. She studied ballet and tap at Mitchell’s School of Dance in Beverly and graduated from Beverly High School in 1964. Music was always close to her heart, especially The Beatles and The Beach Boys, which brought her comfort, joy, and memories of a life well lived.
In 1966, Diane became a mother and took on that role as a single mother, working tirelessly, often holding multiple jobs to provide for her family. She never wavered, never complained, and always put her children first.
Later in life, Diane faced Alzheimer’s disease with quiet strength. Although the illness took pieces of her memory, it never took who she was or the love she gave. While she may have lost some of her memories, she lives on vividly in ours, in every story told, every song remembered, and every life she touched.
Her family, especially her children and grandchildren, always came first. Diane was supportive, generous, feisty, and fiercely protective. Her legacy lives on through the generations she raised, supported, and loved so deeply.
Diane will be remembered for her strength, her fire, and her unconditional love. She will be profoundly missed and forever held in the hearts of her family.
Diane was the loving wife of late James Manning of Dorchester and a devoted mother to Cynthia Anglehart(Eriksen-Manning) and her husband Jesse Anglehart of Quincy, and Kimberly Jurdison (Manning) and her late husband Bryson Jurdison of Victoria, Australia. She was a proud grandmother to Rebecca, Erik, and Emily Anglehart, and to Zachary and Abigail Jurdison, and a cherished great-grandmother to Adalynn, Gabriella, and Ryleigh. She is also lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday, January 3rd, from 11 AM-2 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Avenue Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
