It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Diane C. Renaud. She passed away at home on July 10, 2026, with her granddaughter Holly and her great-grandson Drew by her side.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, in 1932 to Joseph and Julieanna Desrosiers, Diane entered the world during the hardships of the Great Depression and came of age during World War II. As the eldest of five siblings, she quickly embraced responsibility. She learned English in school and lovingly helped teach the language to the rest of her family, demonstrating the generosity and devotion that would define her life.

Diane was a gifted seamstress whose talent was nurtured in the textile mills of Fall River during her youth. Her craftsmanship was exceptional, and she took great pride in creating beautiful, lasting work with her hands.

At just 18 years old, Diane married the love of her life, Robert Renaud. During Robert's military service in the Korean War, she joined him while he was stationed in France, beginning a lifelong journey of love, partnership, and adventure together.

Above all, Diane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving home where her family always came first. She was the mother who packed brown bag lunches each morning, was there to wave goodbye as the children left for school, and welcomed them home each afternoon with love and care.

Her sewing skills became an expression of that love. She made and mended clothing for her family and passed on her many talents by teaching her children sewing, embroidery, knitting, and crocheting. Through these gifts, she shared not only practical skills but also patience, creativity, and the joy of making something with one's own hands.

Diane and Robert lived in several parts of the country before settling in Attleboro, Massachusetts, where they lived for over 60 years. Their life together spanned over 75 years - an incredible milestone. Together they raised three children: Michelle Painter, Edward Renaud, and Susan Renaud.

Family was the center of Diane's world. She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren and the cherished great-grandmother of five great-grandchildren. To many of her grandchildren, she was more than a grandmother—she was a second mother, offering unconditional love, guidance, encouragement, and a comforting presence throughout their lives.

Diane will be remembered for her quiet strength, unwavering devotion to her family, remarkable craftsmanship, and generous heart. The love she stitched into every garment, every lesson she taught, and every life she touched will remain a lasting legacy.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 10 AM - 12 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A - Bicknell Square). Interment will be private.
