Donald Albert Dennison, Jr. (“Donny”)
July 2, 1961 – October 18, 2025
Donald Albert “Donny” Dennison, Jr., 64, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, passed away on October 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Weymouth on July 2, 1961, Donny was a lifelong resident who filled the lives of those around him with laughter, kindness, and love.
A proud graduate of Weymouth North High School, Donny dedicated more than 40 years to his career at 3M, where he was known for his hard work, loyalty, and friendly nature. After work, he loved to relax in his backyard or by the pool, cheer on the New England Patriots, and unwind while watching reruns of Gilligan’s Island, The Three Stooges, and his all-time favorite movie, Jaws. Donny took great pride in keeping his pool spotless and beautiful, creating a welcoming space where family and friends gathered to laugh, swim, and make memories. He especially loved having backyard fires with his wife and brother, where they would share stories, music, and laughter late into the night.
Donny found joy in life’s simple pleasures — cooking his amazing dinners, spending time with his family, and catching up with friends at Middle Ground. He was a creative person who loved to draw, play the piano and guitar, and listen to his favorite music or see live bands with loved ones. He was also known for his great sense of humor and for his love of wearing hats, which he said were “his personality.” Whether he was in the kitchen, relaxing by the pool, or watching his favorite shows and movies, Donny brought laughter and love to every moment.
He loved his family more than anything in the world and was happiest when surrounded by them. He had a big heart and a selfless spirit, always making sure everyone around him was safe and cared for.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra J. Dennison, and his loving children, Jaclyn Carol Dennison and John Thomas Dennison. He also leaves behind his sister Denise France Campanile and her husband Rich Campanile of Rockland, his brother Derek A. Dennison of Weymouth, and his adored pets Molly, Russell, and Hedwig.
He is also survived by his in-laws, Louis and Carol Dalesandro of Weymouth, whom he loved deeply and considered as his own parents. Donny shared a close bond with his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Louis Dalesandro Jr. and his wife Christine Dalesandro of Weymouth, Susan Robbins and her life partner Steve Quireyns of Holbrook, and Joe Robbins of Weymouth, all of whom he cared for dearly. Donny was a proud and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Donald Dennison, Sr. and Dorothy Harding Dennison.
Donny will be remembered for his generous heart, his sense of humor, his creativity, his love of music and art, and his unwavering devotion to his family and friends. His memory will live on in all who were fortunate to know and love him.
