Dotty worked as an assistant head nurse at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, then was appointed in the late 1960’s by Quincy Mayor James McIntyre to work at the Quincy Health Department. In the early 1970’s, Dotty began working as a school nurse with the Quincy Public Schools. During her career as a school nurse with Quincy Public Schools, Dotty helped develop and implement the health education program in all elementary schools in the City. Dotty was passionate and proud working as a nurse and truly enjoyed helping people, especially children. Even during her final days at Harbor House, Dotty would always offer her advice and guidance to the staff that cared for her.
After retiring in the early 1990’s from the City of Quincy, Dotty enjoyed spending the summer months with her family in New Hampshire at Lake Winnipesaukee. During the winter months, Dotty spent her time in Fort Pierce, Florida where she made many friends. In her retirement, Dotty enjoyed traveling, reading, shopping, music and doing crafts. Above all, Dotty’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the most important part of her life and brought her endless joy. Dotty truly loved every opportunity she had to spend time with her family. She was a mother to everyone and a great listener. Dotty accepted everyone unconditionally, always showing love and kindness to all, and offering her support to anyone who needed it. She was a woman with great strength and determination, and admired by her entire family. Dotty will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Beloved wife of the late Francis “Frank” Raimondi and the late Paul Morin. Dotty was the devoted mother of Robert Raimondi and his wife Angela of Milton, Paul Raimondi and his wife Lorraine of CT, and James Raimondi and his wife Donna of NH. The Raimondi family is deeply grateful for the staff at Harbor House in Hingham who went above and beyond to care for her as one of their own.
